About YahWay Sports

YahWay Sports was created with a vision to provide young athletes with opportunities to compete, connect, and grow in an environment built on faith, love, respect, and excellence.

Through tournaments, leagues, camps, mentorship, and community partnerships, our goal is to help young people experience the value of being part of a team and a community that encourages them both on and off the court.

Looking toward the future, I believe God has given me a vision that extends far beyond hosting tournaments. My dream is to build a sports complex that serves as a hub for youth, young adults, families, and organizations throughout our community.

This will be a place where athletes of all backgrounds can compete, train, learn, and grow in an atmosphere rooted in faith, love, respect, and excellence. Through sports, mentorship, and the teaching of God's Word, I hope to create a culture where every young person feels valued, supported, challenged, and connected to a greater purpose in Jesus Christ.

Why YahWay?

Yahweh is a biblical name for God. It represents the God we serve—the Creator, our Lord, and the One who gives us direction and purpose.

YahWay Sports is an intentional play on words inspired by the name Yahweh. The idea behind “YahWay” is simple:

Do It God's Way.

We live in a world that often tells us to follow our own path, trust our own understanding, and define success on our own terms. YahWay Sports exists to encourage young people to consider a different way—to seek God's direction and allow His Word to guide how they compete, lead, serve, and live.

We believe sports provide a powerful platform to teach these principles. Athletics can teach discipline, perseverance, teamwork, humility, leadership, accountability, and resilience. When those lessons are grounded in faith, sports can become more than competition—they can become a tool for developing character and purpose.

YahWay is more than a name. It is a way of life.

Compete God's way.
Lead God's way.
Serve God's way.
Live God's way.

Meet The Founder

My name is Kquintara Watson, and I am the founder of YahWay Sports.

First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus Christ. His saving grace has transformed my life, and He is the foundation of everything I do. My passion for sharing His love, combined with my love for sports and youth development, inspired me to create Yah-Way Sports.

I am also blessed to be married to Dominic Watson, an amazing man of God who wholeheartedly supports the vision of Yah-Way Sports. His encouragement, support, and belief in the vision have been an important part of this journey. I am grateful to have a husband who not only supports what God has placed in my heart, but also desires to see the vision come to life.

My faith is not only something I believe—it is something I strive to live out through serving others. At my local church, I serve in several ministry roles, including Youth Leader, Media Director, Christian Education/Sunday School Teacher, and Altar Worker. Serving in these areas has given me the opportunity to connect with young people, teach God's Word, encourage others, and be present during some of life's most important moments.

For more than 12 years, I served in various roles with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), including Caseworker, Supervisor, and Program Director. Throughout my time with DFPS, I worked closely with children and families experiencing significant challenges and circumstances that impacted their lives.

My work with DFPS allowed me to serve children who had experienced separation from their biological parents and who were learning how to navigate life after that separation. Through these experiences, I witnessed both the challenges young people face and the incredible resilience they possess when they have caring adults, positive relationships, encouragement, and opportunities to succeed.

I currently work for a nonprofit organization that supports children, youth, and young adults impacted by family separation, helping them access the guidance, resources, and opportunities they need to build stable and successful futures.

My professional and ministry experiences have given me a unique perspective on the needs of young people. I understand that sometimes what a child needs most is simply a safe place to belong, someone who believes in them, and an opportunity to discover their potential.

Throughout my career and ministry, I have seen firsthand the powerful impact that belonging, mentorship, encouragement, positive relationships, and faith can have on a young person's life. I have also seen how sports can create opportunities to develop discipline, confidence, teamwork, leadership, resilience, and purpose.

When combined with the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ, sports become more than just a game. They can become a pathway to growth, healing, character, and transformation.
